Pinnipeds Pavilion at Moscow Zoo
The mayor of Moscow Sergey Semyonovich Sobyanin opened the reconstructed pavilion "Pinnipeds" in the Moscow zoo on July 26, 2022. On his website he wrote: "In fact, it was a new construction. The old pavilion was dismantled and a modern pavilion was erected - with large pools, waterfalls and, of course, special water treatment."
The complex was designed by A-495 Bureau, and built by PIK Group. Within the frame of this work Aqua Logo Engineering Company designed and built a very complicated water treatment system of a unique pinniped enclosure complex. We have installed large technological reservoirs of life supporting system of the complex, kilometers of pipelines with diameter up to 30 cm and 19 acrylic underwater observation windows. The biggest of them are 6x3 meters in size.
Visitors can see the life of marine mammals in the water column through the transparent windows from the spacious gallery inside and outside the pavilion.
Aqua Logo's professional divers regularly service all five pools with a total volume of more than 9,500 cubic meters once they are filled with water. They clean the bottom at a depth of up to 7 meters, monitor the condition of tight connections.
Congratulations to all engineers, planners, designers, workers, fitters, divers and other professionals on this success!
And of course, we thank the Customer - Moscow City Government Construction Department and Moscow Zoo for their confidence!
